Most of my work is systematic reviews and meta-analyses in general, thoracic and colorectal surgery, done with collaborators in Brazil, Europe and the United States. I also serve as a peer reviewer for leading journals in the field.

I collaborate with Leandro de Aquino at the UFMG Department of Surgery on a prospective cohort measuring breast sensitivity before and after surgery, to be published as Breast Sensitivity After Mastopexy with Implants Using the L Short-Scar Technique: A Prospective Cohort Study. The project's focus is sensory outcomes after aesthetic breast surgery.

I collaborate with the Surgery Research Group, led by Bernardo Pompeu with the general surgery residents of Hospital Heliópolis, designing and running systematic reviews and meta-analyses and publishing them in journals such as JAMA Surgery, Colorectal Disease and Hernia. The group's topics of interest are colorectal and anorectal surgery, hernia repair, hepatobiliary, bariatric and robotic surgery.

Research Collaborator

I collaborate with the Thoracic Surgery Research Group, led by Rachid Oliveira, designing and running systematic reviews and meta-analyses, including survival analyses from reconstructed individual patient data, and publishing them in journals such as Annals of Surgical Oncology, Journal of Thoracic Disease and Lung Cancer. The group's topics of interest are pleural mesothelioma, lung transplantation and ECMO, minimally invasive lung resection and chest wall surgery.
